Appetites come in all shapes and sizes, lol. They can be demanding or very modest, as they say: unpicky appetite.

I can imagine how my mother suffered because I was overly picky about food.

I ate that, and no one could force me to.

Eating something I found disgusting? I preferred to remain hungry, but of course, I wasn't allowed to.

It's not just people who are picky about food, but animals too. If we're talking about agriculture, before you bring in any animal, make sure you have the right feed.

For example, feeding rabbits straw isn't an option; they need a balanced grain feed and hay made from legumes or wild grasses.

However, hay carries certain risks for many animals, as does any other feed that causes bloating, which the animal usually can't tolerate.

But there are organisms with an ideal appetite; they will happily consume straw, hay, old stumps, cardboard, cotton fabric, and anything containing cellulose, without harming themselves. These include mushrooms, the cultivation of which has also become part of agriculture.
