Hello, good evening and welcome to my page once again, it's time to submit entry for photo of the week contest in world of Xpilar community, so this time theme is festival and I would like to share photos of dahi handi festival. It's a festival of Lord Krishna's birthday, and it celebrated with unique way here.

I am sure Lord Krishna's followers are everywhere, and sure all know about him. Here at my place It celebrated with breaking clay pot which hang on air with rope. People makes pyramid by standing one person on one with circle and reach to the top. Once the reach to the top then there are small children there who ready like small Krishna with clothes and makeup are sending to top person there who near pot and touch that child hand to pot and again pass him to down.

That person on the top then break the pot either with hand or head or something in his hand. There are butter milk and makkhan in it as well as hanged on bananas on pot as they all things comes down and people start to dance. They are doing this act with proper person training and with safety, with people at bottom ready to catch it.

When Lord Krishna was child, at that time, he's also doing same thing with his friends so in memory of it celebrated like this. It's Dahi Handi festival which people enjoy with family and friends. I can't tell whole story in one photo so shared more photos as well as took one video long time ago which I also shared so exactly get to know how they do it.
