The Mask We Wear

Sometimes, without even realising it we became someone else. Not completely but enough to feel different from who truly we are. This is what a fake personality looks like. It doesn't always mean lying.

Most of the time, it's just a pretending a little to fit in. It can start with small things. You agree with people even when you don't. You act more confident than you feel. Sometimes, you show a "Perfect life" online even when your reality is messy.

At first it feels normal. Everyone does it right?, but slowly it's become tiring. You have to keep acting, keep adjusting, keep hiding parts of your self.

The hardest part is that you can forgot who you really are. When you spend too much time trying to be liked, you lose touch with your own thoughts and feelings. And people around you? They might like the version you show but they don't truly know you.

Being real isn't easy. It take courage to step pretending just be yourself. Some people might not understand anymore and that can hurt. But the ones who stay will accept you for who you are, not who you pretend to be.

In the end, the fake personality may bring attention but never brings peace. Being your self might feel risky, but it's the only way to feel truly free.

Interesante planteamiento. Desde hace cierto tiempo, tengo la idea de que vivimos en un mundo de ficción. Cada quién crea personajes que les permitan salvarse de los demás personajes de la historia. Me encantó leerte. Un abrazo.
