My next business trip took me to an unfamiliar place. In the heart of Norway lies the charming village of Flam. Nestled between towering mountains and verdant valleys, this scenic spot is known for its traditional family cottages that look like they're straight out of a fairy tale. Most of the houses are painted in bright colors that make them shine even under the scarce sun.

Before me opened a breathtaking picture of snow-white hills and winding paths. The green of the grass may seem artificial or overexposed, but it is really present in the colder months, which adds a sense of freshness to the landscape. The village comes alive when tourists arrive to enjoy its beauty.

On the banks of the river there is a cozy little place where locals gather to share stories and enjoy delicious food. From here, you can watch cruise ships sail down the river, carrying passengers who come to see the incredible scenery of Norway.

Further on, a fabulous landscape of deep green hills, separated by a river but connected by a bridge, opened before my eyes. Norway has a great abundance of rivers that play a crucial role in the country's history, culture and economy. The country is known for its clear, cold waters that are rich in fish and other marine resources. Rivers have been used as transport and trade routes since the Viking Age, when Norse sailors crossed the North Sea and Atlantic Ocean. Today, many of these rivers continue to be used for tourism, fishing and hydroelectric power generation.

Rivers also contribute significantly to the country's natural beauty, providing picturesque landscapes and habitats for diverse wildlife. Many national parks and protected areas in Norway are located around rivers and lakes, highlighting the importance of these waterways to the country's ecosystem.

The streets wind up and down between the hills, with each turn revealing new views of the breathtaking panorama. Majestic mountains rose high, and below were green valleys that stretched as far as the eye could see, filled with lush forests and sparkling streams.
