Memories of Bangkok. Entry for "Photo of the Week" by @mister-omortson
I never was a mall shopper, never knew brands other than the most obvious ones, never was a bargain hunter. Until I made Thai connections in Bangkok, and became a regular at the best malls like MegaBangna, EmQuartier, CentralWorld, etc.
A shop in MegaBangna. This is my entry for Photo of the week #51 | The mannequins by @mister-omortson
In Thailand, malls are not just shopping spaces; they are small cities under the dome with a comfortable temperature, without the blinding sun, with no noise of road traffic.
Once or twice a week for many months, I used to hang out in shopping malls. We tried on clothes, not intending to buy them, sprinkled each other with perfume samples, arranged small photo sessions in stores... But we shopped there either.
This is a photo from that time, 2018, Jesus, can't believe 3 years have passed since then. 😥 This bloody pandemic is like a vacuum cleaner sucking in time.
Удачи в конкурсе!
Спасибо! :-)
a vacuum cleaner sucking in time.... so well said :/
we stopped travelling, stop going to cheap art festivals (the very few options I had, to divercify and elongate my life...)
I'm glad you @datych reminded me of the fantastic shopping opportunities in Thailand! I loved the variety there and I used to come back with so many new outfits, especially dresses with bold colourful prints on good quality silk!
Silk is a nice choice 🙂 I like shopping in Thailand because sellers are patient there, they don't disturb.
It looks like another year will get sucked into the void. :-(
It looks like that. :(
