Photographing Architecture. Two churches from Oranienbaum

Hello friends, today I would like to show you two Orthodox churches from Oranienbaum. I especially like Michael Archangel's cathedral, during my visits to Oranienbaum I admire this white-walled church every time. The Archangel Michael Cathedral was built in the 1910s on the site of an old wooden church. It is a very beautiful building in the Neo-Russian style, popular at the beginning of the 20th century. It is more difficult to determine the date of the church of St. Spiridoniy of Trimiphunt. By the beginning of the XXI century the old wooden church became very dilapidated, changed its proportions after replanning and lost much of its architectural decor. The old wooden building was demolished and the church was rebuilt in 2008-2013. The new church is very similar to the images of this church on old postcards.

Привет, друзья! Сегодня я хочу показать вам две православные церкви из Ораниенбаума. Мне особенно нравится Собор Михаила Архангела, во время поездок в Ораниенбаум я каждый раз любуюсь этим белостенным храмом. Собор Михаила Архангела был построен в 1910-х годах на месте старой деревянной церкви. Это очень красивое здание в неорусском стиле, популярном в начале XX века. С датой постройки церкви святителя Спиридония Тримифунтского определиться сложнее. К началу XXI века старый деревянный храм очень сильно обветшал, изменил пропорции после перепланировок и потерял значительную часть архитектурного декора. Старое деревянное здание было разобрано и церковь возведена заново в 2008-2013 годах. Новая церковь очень похожа на изображения этой церкви на старых открытках.
