The World of XPILAR - LANDSCAPE/SEASCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #107 - An artic island
The photos shows the mountains on the Disko Island, lacated on the west coast of Greenland. This island is younger than the rest of Greenland and has dark, steep basalt mountains that is due to the islands volcanic origin. Greenland is quite barren, but the Disko Island is green and lush because of the hot springs that gives the landscape a more green color.
