I find AI music off putting as well. After reading this I realize that it's the feeling part that is lacking. I really enjoy the messiness of humanity more than I thought, I suppose. There's something just too technically perfect, not real enough, that I don't like. I can see great uses for AI as well ( I agree about meditative music), but i find AI generated art more and more irritating as well. I can pick it out more quickly now and it just falls flat. I also find the corny AI generated commercials (like the "Cob Gobbler" commercial I see on our local station all of the time) very irritating, mainly because I don't think most people can tell the difference and that makes me question the intelligence and perception of my fellow humans. The insane ways it is being used against us is also frightening - scams, propaganda, blackmail. It's going to be very interesting to see how far this will go and the effects it will have on our societies.
I try to remind myself that AI is ultimately neutral, and the output you get is connected to the intention of the person employing AI.
Sadly, a lot of people in the world have the intention of deception, and so we end up with a bunch of fake and misleading garbage that those with zealot tendencies tend to latch onto and pretend is actually the truth.
And that part if definitely scary!
