[Documented Photography] A trip to the trail Janela do Inferno (Hell's Window) Part 1
Hey everyone!
Today I'm going to talk a bit about one of our trails in our island, known has Hell's Window ( Oh-Oh...)
But first, let me have my coffee real quick * sips coffee * ok!
So, what is the trail of Hell's Window?
Hell's Window (Janela do Inferno) is a circular trail located in the perish of Remedios, it's a circular route with quite a few tunnels, so it's best to use proper gear such as adequate boots for muddy and slippery terrain and a flashlight, the route takes about 2-3 hours depending on your stops
The name comes because from a hole that exists in the middle of the rocks, if you try to throw something that can create alot of sound at fall you will realize the sound produced when thrown will tell you that if you tried to go through the hole, you would have quite a fall (Yikes)

But besides the name, the place is actually really beautiful, after you cross the tunnels, you end up seeing this beautiful road which leads to a beautifull waterfall.

First thing it came to my mind when saw I this place , has I am a big of LOTR and for a second I felt like I was in shire.

Geology question, since you are on a volcano, is that tunnel originally a lava tube that has been bricked over?

These tunnels are actually old water cannals that used to make puddles , farmers used this place since it was a good place to breed some animals. Farmers still do work around this place, but not on this route since these cannals dried and are now used for the trail
