Hey Everyone! How's it going?
Today's photo is a very special place for me, it is called Islet of São Roque
Gear Used
The islet is made of pieces of a litoral cone from a volcano. Due to its high vegetation and marine life presence, the islet was considered a protected biotope. Some bravehearts have climbed this and if you look close enough, you will see a flag on the top of the islet
The reason this place is so special for me it was because this is where I started my underwater adventure, I remember being anxious and wondering what it would be like, it's very diferent to dive and practise on a pool with 5m and on the next they you are diving open water on the left side of this islet, going 18m deep for the first time.
Has we arrived at the islet I started to feel the adrenaline kick in, time to gear up and do Buddy Check list . Buddy Check list (B.W.R.A.F.) is afunctionality check of yours and your buddys equipment. And it really should be second nature for every diver. We have mnemonics to remember all letters and what they stand for, being my favorite:

After all is checked, we dive...Going down!
Has soon has I starting going down, the anxiety was gone, and it was replaced by a feel of calm, relaxation, almost has like, I was on a meditation state, the sensation of feeling like I was floating was incredible!

...there was a time when I was professionally engaged in diving. I served as a lifeguard in the Navy.
Now I’m unlikely to go under the water with a breathing apparatus. Although ... who knows :)
That must have been an intense job.
It's always different. It is always calm, but in case of accidents or exercises, it also happened tense :)

Such joy and excitement I feel through your post. Beautiful photos to make the story come together. Is the main subject of the last photo a plant or animal?
Thank you! I do get excited everytime I get to talk about diving :P it's a plant, quite curious that I found it alone on a place full of rocks, it's actually the size of my index finger

What an interesting plant then. It is a good macro, looks bigger! The world under the water is like outer space - completely magical. Your photos make me want to get into diving.
It really looks like you are in another reality, its beautiful and i feel lucky to be part of the percentage that can experience it.
