Pustaka Bergerak Indonesia Movement 📚 #club100
The 17th Istanbul Biennial continues and I visit the galleries where the event takes place. One of them is the Gazhane Museum. There are many exhibitions here. Today, I will tell you about the Pustaka Bergerak movement, the Indonesian Mobile Library Network. I have many Indonesian friends on Steemit: @sultan-aceh @nadiaturrina @ponpase @klen.civil @adivender @anroja @nazarul @sailawana 🌸 I know that they like to be united and do volunteer work, and I was excited to see an example of this in this exhibition 🤗
The Pustaka Bergerak movement aims to increase the literacy rate of the people. The foundations for this were laid by writer, social entrepreneur and literacy activist Nirwan Ahmad Arsuka, who works to spread literacy. This network, organized by Arsuka, uses a wide variety of transportation methods such as horses, vegetable carts, motorcycles or boats to transport books to remote shores and rural areas that are difficult to reach. Thus, it mobilizes social interaction and solidarity in the vast Indonesian archipelago. It takes perseverance, will and creativity to overcome obstacles. It seems that all these beautiful people have it ❤️
You can see in the photos a large map of Pustaka Bergerak's extensive network spanning the entire archipelago. I think the art curator of the exhibition did a pretty good job. All the illustrations, the accessories used and their layout is interesting 👌
According to Arsuka:
"a book is a container of information, knowledge, and wisdom. When it moves from one hand to another, it collects a new quality: a gift, a sign of love and care, an expression of commitment and solidarity."
The materials, which are the products of the extensive activities carried out by the mobile library since 2015, are also included in the exhibition. It was a very extensive exhibition, I couldn't photograph all of them. I learned that Pustaka Bergerak has more than three thousand centers and they are managed by volunteers.
The work, unity and struggle of Nirwan Ahmad Arsuka and Pustaka Bergerak volunteers has been inspiring for me. I hope you will be interested and research to find out more 🌿
You can take a look this website for more detalied about it: https://pustakabergerak.id/
Thank you 🤗
Indonesia & Turkey ❤️🙏👌
Yes 🤗👌
Hello dear in my country Indonesia we call it "mobile library". Books are brought by car and usually this mobile library is very popular with teenagers.
I often see them enthusiastic and gather to read books or borrow them from the traveling library
Hi dear sailawana, thanks for this information 😊 Nice initiatives. It's great that young people are enthusiastic about reading books 👌
Yiou are welcome my dear
Indonesia, especially Aceh, has a long history. Aceh and Turkey have had diplomatic relations since 400 years ago. San it is a very long and memorable history.
Definitely I agree with you. This bond between our nations in history is very valuable and ensures the friendship of the two countries for now and in the future 🤗
That's right, I hope the friendship between these two countries will continue. And one more thing, for Indonesia, to go to Turkey no longer need to apply for a visa.
That's good news, I hope most of you can visit our country 🤗
In the destination countries I want to go to, Turkey is in the top priority for me to visit.
Great 🙂👍
