| В конце апреля 2023 года мы с подругой посетили красивейший русский город Гороховец. Он небольшой, но в нём есть, что посмотреть. К вечеру отъезда 30 апреля мы выполнили свою программу. Осталось одно местечко, о котором у нас были противоречивые отзывы. С одной стороны, все сходились на том, что виды оттуда очень хороши. С другой – нас предупреждали, что в дождливую погоду там небезопасно. А погода была дождливая. | At the end of April 2023, my friend and I visited the beautiful Russian city of Gorokhovets. It's small, but there's a lot to see. By the evening of departure on April 30, we completed our program. There was one place left that we had mixed reviews about. On the one hand, everyone agreed that the views from there were very good. On the other hand, we were warned that it was unsafe there in rainy weather. And the weather was rainy. |
| У нас ещё было пару часов до отправления поезда, и мы решили подъехать к нужному месту и действовать по обстоятельствам. | We still had a couple of hours before the train departed and we decided to drive up to the right place and act according to the circumstances. |
| Дождь был небольшой и постепенно заканчивался. Тропинки, ведущие на смотровую площадку, оказались вполне проходимыми. Мы нисколько не пожалели, что приехали на Лысую гору и увидели вот такую красоту. | The rain was light and gradually stopped. The paths leading to the observation deck turned out to be quite passable. We did not regret at all that we came to Bald Mountain and saw such beauty. |
| Река Клязьма разлилась по окрестностям. В такое время виды с Лысой горы одни из самых красивых. | The Klyazma River overflowed throughout the surrounding area. At such times, the views from Bald Mountain are some of the most beautiful. |
| Пока мы любовались этим великолепием, дождь закончился, и небо чуть-чуть просветлело. | While we were admiring this splendor, the rain stopped and the sky brightened a little. |
| Забавно, но это был вечер накануне Вальпургиевой ночи. Нас с подругой очень повеселило, что мы именно в это время «прилетели» на Лысую гору. (В русском фольклоре именно на Лысой горе собираются ведьмы в Вальпургиеву ночь.) | It's funny, but it was the evening before Walpurgis Night. My friend and I were very amused that we “flew” to Bald Mountain at that exact time. (In Russian folklore, it is on Bald Mountain that witches gather on Walpurgis Night.) |
| Гора под Гороховцам названа Лысой по вполне прозаическим причинам. Окрестные холмы покрыты лесами, а эта возвышенность совершенно голая. | The mountain near Gorokhovetsi was named Lysa for quite prosaic reasons. The surrounding hills are covered with forests, but this hill is completely bare. |
| По легендам предполагалось искусственное происхождение этого холма. Якобы, здесь похоронили татарского хана и насыпали над ним могильный курган. Но учёные установили, что Лысая гора имеет природное происхождение. Тем не менее, раскопки в этих местах открыли древнее городище. Так что здесь не только великолепная природа, но и археологический памятник. | According to legends, this hill was supposed to be of artificial origin. Allegedly, the Tatar khan was buried here and a burial mound was built over him. But scientists have established that Bald Mountain is of natural origin. But excavations in these places discovered an ancient settlement. So not only is there magnificent nature here, but also an archaeological site. |
| 30 апреля большинство деревьев выпустили свои первые листочки. Я очень люблю этот чудесный, яркий, нежный весенний зелёный цвет. | On April 30, most of the trees released their first leaves. I really love this wonderful, bright, delicate spring green color. |
