Vologda and Toshnya confluence
I was born in a city located at the confluence of rivers. All my life, this confluence of rivers with various subtexts, direct and veiled, entered my consciousness and settled there. Since then, I love to visit different confluences of rivers, small and bigger.
There is not even a doubt that this desire is connected with my place of residence.
And I visited the next confluence of the Vologda and Toshnya rivers.
These rivers are so calm that the flow can stop or even reverse in them.
But I'm not the only one who has confluence as a place of attraction. There are many people here, both fishermen and swimmers.
Also nearby is a dam that regulates the water level.
A little further there are bridges: road and rail.
The Vologda and Toshnya rivers at their confluence are approximately the same in width and depth.
I found another interesting place for myself where you can swim, relax and take pictures.
You were lucky to have that closeness to rivers, the man in the first photograph fishing calmly looks so relaxed.
