Graduating Class Challenge: DAY 14
DAY 14 - 28th July, 2024: An Experience you want to relieve again and an unforgettable experience.
Still on the 2023 Graduating Class Challenge, Day 14 which should have been on 28th July.
An Experience you want to relieve again and an unforgettable experience.
My first year at the university was a thrilling experience, filled with new beginnings and challenges. One experience that still stands out in my mind was the first-year clearance process, which took longer than expected due to the long queues. Arriving at the West Campus early, eager to complete my clearance, I was met with a disheartening sight - endless lines of students waiting to be cleared. The sun beat down relentlessly, and hunger added to my distress. Despite the obstacles, I was determined to persevere. I waited in line daily, watching the queue inch forward at a snail's pace. The heat was unbearable, and frustration was palpable, but I refused to give up.
As I looked around, I realized we were all in this together, sharing the same struggles and goals. In that moment, I learned the importance of perseverance and camaraderie. I understood that giving up is not an option, and determination is a virtue. Finally, after many days, I reached the front of the queue. The sense of relief was overwhelming as I completed my clearance and received my certificate.
Looking back, the first-year clearance experience was a defining moment in my university journey. It taught me patience, perseverance, and the value of a good support system. Although challenging, it's an experience I'll always remember and would relive if given the chance. Notably, it provided an opportunity to connect with people from my department, faculty, and other departments, forming helpful relationships that have benefited me throughout my time at the institution.
