RE: Drawing like a pro - 37, Commenting on your drawing (Power up 100%)

Hi! I think I'd like to say something. As a fellow "professor"... I am comfortable with the idea. I don't mean to be argumentative at all, I understand where you are coming from and I can relate. I at first thought, "I don't deserve the title." But, with some reflection, I realize that none of my 'teachers' ever considered themselves fit for the role. They were fellow artists on their own journey at some point on the path.

Does that give us the right to proclaim that we are "professors"? Maybe not, but if that's how we are seen to others than who are we to question the value that we bring by showing what we have learned and by sharing the process by which our own artistic gains have been found.

All I'm saying is that there is no "perfect" professor and there is no one with all the right answers to art questions. It is by explorations and community that we find our teachers and if I can do my part in sharing what I have learned along the way then so be it. I'll profess!

I hope you find some comfort in the fact that people see you as someone who they can learn from.

Hi @fumansiu! Thank you very much for your words. From that point of view, you are right.
