Steem and Hive

I wanted to see how crypto is doing overall and specifically how Steem and Hive are facing the present very difficult times. The Crypto Market Cap is at 2.43 Trillion USD, way down from its All Time High, but I actually don't see it doing that bad, I mean it was at about 4 Trillion for a while, but after all the disruptions the World has faced in the last year I feel it is not quite as bad as it could be.

Of course Bitcoin is just at over $70,000.00 down from its ATH of around $126,000.00 and I guess a lot of people have lost a lot of money with it. But if somebody got into Bitcoin whem it was at around $1,000.00 which I can remember but did nothing, they are actually doing very well.

Now we go to Steem and Hive, both are below $0.06 a very bad place to be. But the way I see it Steem is doing less badly than Hive, I mean Hive is very close to its ATL while Steem is still close but has a much wider gap. All the Hive and Steem super whales are seeing the value of their holdings at very low levels, but at this point I think letting go of their holdings would be counterproductive. At this point there are only two options, they go bust and everything is lost or they gradually recover value.

I got rid of the small amount of Hive I had, I sold it to a very nice person at more than double the value it is at now. I really hope Hive goes up to at least $0,20 so this person does not lose money. I actually have always liked Steemit more so I did not sell any for the last two years and am now trying to get to 3,000 staked Steem. Yes, the value is low and I might lose everything but I am leaving it there if it goes up I will have a nice holding and if it goes bust I lose maybe $150.00, which, while not bad for a few days in Honduras is no life changer so I am not at all worried.

The problem of course is we have not the slightest idea of what is going to happen, the World right now is in a very precarious situation and the future is uncertain. I really hope all wars stop.
