Happy New Year and Steemit Goals

I wish everyone a very happy and good New Year 2026. 2025 was actually a very trying year, it seemed to me that everything went wrong, and we are in a much worse shape, as humanity, than we have ever been. I do hope this trend stops and things can improve.

As for my Steemit 2026 goals it is actually difficult for me to set them. First of all, I am not very motivated at this moment, the crypto World is in dire straits and Steem is in worse shape than most. This certainly does not make me see its future in a positive light. On the other hand I did reach my goals in 2025 and now have 2600 staked Steem. not much really, but more than I have ever had.

So what could I put as my 2026 goal for Steemit? Reach 5,000 staked Steem and become a dolphin? I think not, I don't see me putting in the effort or receiving enough votes to reach that milestone. So maybe get to 4,000 staked Steem? Even this amount seems like a fairy tale to me, I really do not think activity on Steem will be at the same level as it is today, barring of course a massive crypto come back.

So I will be completely realistic, I will set my goal for 2026 to 3,500 Steem staked, that means I have to make 900 Steem authoring and curating. I guess I can do that. I do have the routine of voting daily mostly pat, and I think I can write a post or two every week. So, yes that is my goal, 3,500 Steem staked by year's end.
