Assalam u alaikum,

I saw a strange lizard today, which was perched on top like a chameleon.Its body had raised scales. And its body was two different colors. Its tail was as long as a snake's tail. It was different from all the lizards I have seen so far. In fact, it looked more like a snake than a lizard to me.

I immediately took pictures of it before it was gone. And when I searched on Google what species of lizard it was, I realized it was an Oriental Garden Lizard.

Scientific name

It's Scientific Name is Calotes versicolor.

Habitat:

These lizards are commonly found in gardens, woodlands, and urban areas.

Behavior:

They are known to camouflage easily, allowing them to blend into their surroundings.

Physical Features:

They are generally small, with slender bodies and long tails, and they can vary in color.
One of the characteristics of lizards is that they protect themselves with their tails, and when they are injured in any way, their tails break first, which regrow after some time. A lizard is a reptile that belongs to the snake genus. Some large lizards also belong to the dinosaur genus. The lizard seen in the picture is actually a lizard belonging to the snake genus.

I got all the information about this snake-like lizard from Google. When I took pictures of it and did a Google search, I realized that it is a lizard that is not usually found in homes, but rather in the desert.
