Esta es mi primera entrada para el concurso de literatura de @romanie. Me encanta escribir historias cortas de ficción.Y aprovecho la oportunidad de usar como referencia las bellas imágenes de los cuadros de @romanie. Me pone en aprietos reducir una historia a 500 palabras pero haré mi mejor esfuerzo.
La historia está inspirada en la pintura número 10.
Finalmente, Erick había encontrado la madriguera del Gran Conejo Intergaláctico Multidimensional.
Erick era apenas un chico y no tenía idea de cómo vencer a tan formidable criatura. En el fondo brillaba su objetivo, la Rosa Mística Eterna, capaz de devolver la vida a un planeta moribundo. En un rincón, había una enorme pila de huesos y armaduras; evidenciando la numerosa cantidad de guerreros que habían perecido ante la criatura.
El corazón de Erick golpeaba insistentemente en su pecho, retumbando en sus oídos. La criatura parecía dormida. Por encima de ella, bajaban del techo enredaderas de piedra, quizás podría usar su gancho, subir silenciosamente y robarla desde arriba.
Pero sus pensamientos fueron interrumpidos; el Gran Conejo Intergaláctico Multidimensional se levantó sobre sus cuatro patas, su gigante cuerpo estaba cubierto de escamas, formando un escudo impenetrable. A ambos lados de su cabeza había una estructura redonda con números y agujas.
Se detuvo a unos pasos de Erick; sus grandes ojos amarillos giraron hacia abajo y observaron lo insignificante que era el jovenzuelo.
“No hace falta que hagas tu discurso sobre lo indispensable que es la Rosa Mística Eterna para ti”, advirtió con una voz gruesa
Erick sacó su pequeña espada de manera amenazante. Su corazón seguía retumbando sus oídos y sus rodillas temblaban como gelatina. Sin embargo, le pareció curioso su comentario.
“¡Asombroso! Veo que las leyendas no mienten acerca de ti”, alabó con una sonrisa forzada.
El Gran Conejo Intergaláctico Multidimensional soltó un largo suspiro y luego se echó frente a Erick, quien retrocedió instintivamente.
“Debo admitir que eres un adversario extraordinario”, sacó una larga lengua delgada con la que mojó su pico redondo.
Su voz sonaba sincera, pero Erick no bajaba la guardia. Estaba seguro que el Gran Conejo Intergaláctico Multidimensional tramaba algo.
“¿Ves esto que tengo a cada lado de mi cabeza?”, preguntó, girando su enorme cabeza de un lado al otro.
“Cada vez que soy derrotado, ellos regresan el tiempo, trayéndome de nuevo a la vida. Iniciando todo, excepto el conocimiento de lo que sucederá”
Hizo una pausa para rascarse detrás de una de sus enormes orejas.
Erick, desconfiado, seguía buscando algún punto débil.
“Esta es la vez número 500 que retrocedo en el tiempo pero tu perseverancia es tanta que aun derrotado encuentras la forma de activar mi mecanismo del tiempo, reiniciando todo nuevamente”
“He decidido que puedes tomar la Rosa Mística Eterna para que salves a tu planeta. Pero deberás devolverla una vez que haya cumplido su objetivo”
Erick arrugó el ceño. ¿Acaso era alguna treta del Gran Conejo Intergaláctico Multidimensional? pensó
Se levantó nuevamente y de un brinco se alejó, dejando la Rosa Mística Eterna al alcance del pequeño chico.
El Gran Conejo Intergaláctico Multidimensional había desaparecido. Sin perder más tiempo, tomó la Rosa Mística Eterna y la guardó cuidadosamente en un contenedor mágico. Volvió a la entrada de la cueva y activó la apertura de un portal interdimensional.
“Prometo devolverla”, gritó hacia la cueva y antes de desaparecer escuchó un susurro responder, “Lo sé”.

This is my first entry for @romanie's literature contest. I love writing short fiction stories. And I take the opportunity to use the beautiful images in @romanie's paintings as a reference. It makes it hard for me to reduce a story to 500 words but I will do my best.
The story is inspired by painting number 10.
Finally, Erick had found the burrow of the Great Multidimensional Intergalactic Rabbit.
Erick was just a boy and had no idea how to defeat such a formidable creature. In the background glowed his target, the Eternal Mystic Rose, capable of restoring life to a dying planet. In a corner, there was a huge pile of bones and armor; evidence of the numerous warriors who had perished in the face of the creature.
Erick's heart pounded insistently in his chest, thundering in his ears. The creature seemed asleep. Above it, vines of stone were descending from the ceiling, perhaps it could use its hook, climb silently and steal it from above.
But his thoughts were interrupted; the Great Multidimensional Intergalactic Rabbit stood up on its four legs, its giant body was covered with scales, forming an impenetrable shield. On either side of its head was a round structure with numbers and pointers.
It stopped a few steps away from Erick; its large yellow eyes rolled down and observed how insignificant the youngster was.
"No need to make your speech about how indispensable the Eternal Mystic Rose is to you," he warned in a thick voice.
Erick drew his small sword menacingly. His heart was still thundering in his ears and his knees were shaking like jelly. However, he found its comment curious.
"Amazing! I see the legends don't lie about you," he praised with a forced smile.
The Great Multidimensional Intergalactic Rabbit let out a long sigh and then lay down in front of Erick, who recoiled instinctively.
"I must admit, you are an extraordinary adversary," it stuck out a long slender tongue with which he wet his round beak.
Its voice sounded sincere, but Erick wasn't letting his guard down. He was sure the Great Multidimensional Intergalactic Rabbit was up to something.
"See this thing I have on each side of my head?" he asked, turning his huge head from one side to the other.
"Every time I am defeated, they turn back time, bringing me back to life. Initiating everything except the knowledge of what will happen."
He paused to scratch behind one of his huge ears.
Erick, wary, was still looking for some weak spot.
"This is the 500th time I've gone back in time but your perseverance is so much that even defeated you find a way to activate my time mechanism, resetting everything again."
"I have decided that you can take the Eternal Mystic Rose for you to save your planet. But you must return it once it has served its purpose."
Erick wrinkled his brow. Was this some ploy of the Great Multidimensional Intergalactic Rabbit, he thought?
It stood up again and hopped away, leaving the Eternal Mystic Rose within reach of the little boy.
The Great Multidimensional Intergalactic Rabbit had disappeared. Without wasting any more time, he took the Eternal Mystic Rose and carefully stored it in a magical container. He returned to the cave entrance and activated the opening of an interdimensional portal.
"I promise to bring it back," he shouted towards the cave and before disappearing he heard a whispered reply, "I know."
