Happy Monday Beautiful Humans!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend - I know I did! Nothing life changing really... just a lot of time spent on myself and my personal endeavors which is not really something I get to do very often! Being a mostly anxious individual, I spend a lot of time feeling like I am running out of time, lol and Mondays are always pretty busy ones for me. I don't really suffer from the whole "Monday blues" syndrome - I actually look forward to the start of the week... you know, like one of those annoying optimists who look at the new week like its a blank canvas just waiting to be covered in colour, haha!

On Mondays the house gets cleaned, the bedding gets washed and I normally bake some fresh bread for us... or at least start with the dough making. All of that leaves me feeling a little pressed for time to fully focus on anything I want to do for myself because I spend most of my day hopping from this to that.

Every morning I get a "message from the universe" which is something I signed up to probably fifteen years ago or so... I forget exactly, but it was a long time ago, lol. Interestingly... this was my message this morning...

I have remarked often over the years at how apt the messages are for me at the time which I receive them - it has been quite uncanny at times... but then again, I also know how good I know our minds are at fitting something perfectly into a space when that is where we want it to be... :) but then, I suppose that is the entire purpose of those morning messages - so I guess they are doing their job, lol!

So, I will listen to my message and try to get through this day with a little less "fast forward" mindset and treat each passing moment with my full attention and remind myself that I am not running out of time. One of the things I am really trying to put a lot more time into lately is my art as some of you know already.

I spent a fair amount of time this weekend working on this piece... which is now finished and I am quite pleased with it, even if I do say so myself :) I never really plan anything I create. I might have some vague idea of what it is that I ultimately want to do, but most of the time it ends up being quite different, lol - but that is a part of the process which I love because it just develops instinctively and naturally. So this one is called Bohemian Indulgence.

I suppose some may consider my art chaotic lol and perhaps it is a little - (or a lot haha), but it is me. I am not sure I know how to do "minimalistic" or how to actually STICK to a colour palette that I choose to work with when I start, lol - but I do know one thing, and that is that I love how my chaotic creativity looks on textile.

Above is the completed version of that piece I was working on - and below is a textile mockup of one of the pieces I did about a week ago called Elysian Oasis. I have not added this one to my Redbubble store yet... I thought I had, oops haha! I suppose that is another thing I will be doing today :) Though it is available in my Saatchi Gallery

I generally try to share my work in progress on various social media and I wish there was a way to share media here without having to use external sources, but nonetheless... below is one of my progress videos for the piece called Elysian Oasis :)

And on that note, I am going to get back to the day! I hope you all have a productive and positive start to the week!

❤❤❤

Until next time...
