Love it when people take these trips to exotic places and take a lot of photos of the area. It is nice but then it's Shangri-la.

The giants could be the mountains?

    Yes!

    Shangrila is only one of the many places/attractions in Skardu.

    There is a lot to explore there and we were definitely lucky.
