Celtic Knotwork - basic principles III
Hi friends!
To draw this knot start by drawing a 6 square by 12 square grid, then draw a break line below the first row of squares and draw a second break line below the fifth row of squares, as shown below.
Below the upper breakout line draw the pattern in the same way as we did in the previous posts.
Your drawing must be like the one below.
At this stage, we have drawn the outer "rope" at both the top and bottom, as shown below.
With this, our basic sketch is now finished.
Draw a wider black line paying attention to the interlacing... once up, once down.
Ends the knot by erasing all helplines.
Observe how this knotwork is done by the interlacing of two unbroken knots (marked here in red and yellow separately), both with no starting or ending point.
