Creating "Peace is Over" | 3D Modeling & Digital Painting Process
Watch the creation process of "Peace is Over," an allegorical piece exploring the moment when harmony is abruptly shattered.
About the Art: The image depicts a scene where a celebration has been violently interrupted. The floating colored spheres represent a time of festivity that is suddenly cut short. The dove (Peace) isn't dying, but rather fleeing the chaos, taking flight as the teacup—a symbol of domestic calm—shatters below.
The Process (Hybrid Workflow): For this artwork, I combined several techniques to achieve the final result:
Traditional Sketching: I started with freehand pencil studies on paper to capture the anatomy and movement of the dove.
3D Modeling: To get the perspective and the physics of the breaking shards correct, the ceramics were modeled and positioned using Blender.
Digital Painting: The final composition, lighting, texturing, and color work were all completed in Adobe Photoshop.
I hope you enjoy this look into my creative process!
