Maths and Art, a virtuous relationship - Geometry

in WORLD OF XPILARlast month (edited)

Hi friends!

Hoping to be back again, this time more frequently, I would like to restart with some theoretical considerations related to art, trying to understand how we can use the revolutionary technology we have at our disposal today as a great and friendly tool to make art.
To understand how we arrived at this current stage of art, I think it is necessary to understand the relationship between the development of science and the development of art in a mutual and reciprocal relationship, starting with maths.
Although art and mathematics may seem like very different disciplines, they share a deep and intricate connection that artists, mathematicians, and docents have explored throughout history.
Here I would like to share with you some points that illustrate this fascinating relationship, starting with Geometry, a mathematical discipline that plays a crucial role in art and that seems to me to be the one that we can most obviously recognize.
Let's think, for example, of drawing, painting, sculpture, architecture, design, etc. in which artists use geometric shapes and principles to create perspective, proportion and structure in their works.
To familiarize ourselves with this relationship, I leave you here some examples that will help us assess its importance, especially in our days when we use many mathematical techniques and tools, many times without being aware of it. In my opinion, knowing and know how to use this relationship means a great advantage for those who consider themselves an artist.

Hi Jorge, nice to see your posts again, I thought that you needed some pause, often we need a little break but it is a pleasure to see your posts again.

Geometry in Art has something magical, the smaller and the more details the more interesting and fascinating it is. Often we find ourselves staring at those pattern just speechless and like it is our brain tries to find the explanation of it. As a child I always saw something in such patters, sometimes any objects but somethings animals like dragon an snakes.

Will be interesting to see how you will develop the topic :)

Hi dear Stef! I'm glad to have your always cordial welcome and your constant support for me.
Indeed, I needed a break due to health and time problems, adding to my need to question myself and rethink my artistic activity.
I have thought a lot about how to restart my posts again, hoping to be able to continue and that they can be a contribution to the Steemit community.
Regards!!

I hope your health is better, that is the most important thing in our life. Yes, we often need to think about what we do and might change something, but you will remain creative as you always are.

Your presence is already a great contribution to artistic part of community, always a pleasure to be on your side :)
