Mistakes fixing - Two fish, study drawing.

Hi friends!

As I mentioned previously regarding this theme of two fish, it is a study drawing, to explore and learn about it, trying to find a good representation of it.
For this, it is necessary to be able to recognize errors or oversights to correct them later in a new version.
Here are some things that I think I should improve...

-----------------------------------------------

The first thing that catches my attention is the perspective of the fish on the left side, which lacks a good sense of depth.
To solve this I have increased the curvature of the fish and paid attention to the dorsal center of the fish.

I have highlighted with red to make the change in the curvature of the fish noticeable, both in the tail, where the curve is now more pronounced, and in the head, where its central line can be seen.
15.jpg

This centre line allows me to correctly draw the position of the dorsal fin, and the centre position of the horn can also be correctly placed.
Note that I have also changed the shape of the dorsal fin.
16.jpg

With red colour, I have featured the perspective to keep in mind and the overlapping of the lateral fin to accentuate the fish's volume.
17.jpg

At this stage, I drew the grid on the fish trying to follow both the vertical and horizontal shapes along its body.
18.jpg

By drawing diagonal lines on the grid in both directions I let it ready to draw the scales.
19.jpg

Well, I think the fish's perspective and sense of rotation are better achieved right now.
The placement of the fins is good this time, the shape of the dorsal fin is more realistic and the volume is also better although the shadows have not been placed yet.

This is the importance and the goal of all the study drawings, looking for the best way to represent our models or scenes in an ulterior painting or drawing.

Thank you very much!! I appreciate your support.

Excelente la perspectiva lograda, admiro mucho a los que dibujan animales con tal técnica ya que considero que se debe estudiar mucho el modelo para lograr esos efectos.
Saludos. :)
