My Pokémon collection
About eight years ago, that's when I got into Pokémon cards, and it quickly became my new obsession. I fell in love immediately and started buying loads of Pokémon packs—well, my parents did. I was obsessed with the rare cards and wanted to collect a whole bunch of them. After getting quite a lot, my friends and I began playing little battles with my cards. I even brought them to school in third grade, and during the first two terms of third grade, everyone was bringing Pokémon cards to school, trading, and showing off packs and tins filled with Pokémon.
Then, the next term rolled around, and not as many people brought Pokémon to school. However, I went to visit my granny, and while we were out shopping, I bought a pack of Pokémon cards and got my favourite card to this day: Solgaleo and Lunala double team. It's been my favourite card ever since I got it with my granny. The next day at school, I proudly showed it off to all my friends, and they were so jealous of it.
One day during computer class, I stored my Pokémon in a little box under my desk, and after class, during break, we went outside to play soccer, tag, and other games. When I returned, I noticed one of my good cards, an Incineroar card, was missing. I asked my friends and classmates if anyone had taken it. At the very end of the break, a kid brought it to me, saying he found it in the field.
After those first two terms, people stopped playing Pokémon, so we all stopped bringing our cards to school. But my friends and I continued playing with my cards at home, having mini battles and such. Most of the time, I would win because they were my cards, but eventually, we started a shuffling method to make it fair.
And here I am now, still holding onto all of my Pokémon cards, except for some that I lost along the way. I have a lot of good Pokémon now. In total, I have about one thousand Pokémon cards, maybe more or less—I'm not sure. More importantly… I want to tell you about my TOP FIVE Pokemon cards, starting from the bottom!
My fifth favourite is Kyurem VMAX, one of my newest rare cards, and it's one of my favourites because of how sick the card looks. The Pokémon has sick designs and can fuse with Reshiram and Zekrom to become even more powerful. Both of those have their own forms and sick solar schemes. Kyurem is a really powerful Pokémon when it comes to battling, and trying to capture it takes a whole lot of Poké Balls. Or you could just use a Master Ball and catch it on the first try! Once you’ve obtained the Pokémon, you can enjoy battling with its insane strength, and that's why it's my fifth favourite card.
My fourth favourite is Mega Rayquaza EX. It has one of the coolest art styles and is just one of my favourites because I've had it for many years. Even though having it for many years made me like it more, I just love the Pokémon Rayquaza. It's one of my favourite legendaries of all time. In fact, I love Rayquaza so much that my desktop background is a lively Rayquaza picture. It's absolutely sick. But yeah, Rayquaza is one of the most powerful Pokémon of all time! It rules over space as a space king (named by me, lol). I just love its sleek design and abilities, definitely my favourite Dragon-type legendary. When it goes mega, it just gets even cooler and stronger. That's why it's my fourth favourite card.
My third favourite is Mewtwo and Mew GX Tag Team. This card is just insanely cool, and I love tag team GX’s, so that's why it's my third favourite. I got this card a long time ago back in my old house after my mom took me to a Pokémon store, and I had bought some packs. From them, I pulled this card. Mewtwo and Mew are probably the most powerful Pokémon of all time. Mew can transform into any Pokémon, even legendaries, and Mewtwo is a man-made Pokémon that is made with the DNA of Mew, but it is crazy strong and was designed to be the strongest Pokémon of all time. That is why this is my third favourite card.
Now, my second favourite is one of my rarest cards, if not the rarest. It's a Scizor VMAX Rainbow Rare card. Its texture and design are just eye-catching, and I love it because of how rare it is. Base Scizor is also pretty strong on its own, but VMAX is on a whole new level. It gets way bigger and stronger. This card is one of the rare Rainbow Rare cards that are the rarest type of card you can pull on GX, EX, V, and VMAX. Giving it this amazing rainbow colour ratio. That's why it's my second favourite card.
Now, last but not least, I started this card earlier. It is my all-time favourite, and I wouldn't trade it for the world because I got it with my granny who passed away four years ago, but I keep this card for her. It is a Solgaleo and Lunala Tag Team GX card. It is definitely my favourite card of all time. It's got sick detail and amazing art. Sun and Moon is one of the three Pokémon series I've watched. It's definitely my favourite or second favourite series ever. I loved watching it. I watched it about three times, lol. But Solgaleo is one of my favourite Pokémon ever. I just love the design of it being a space lion. So yeah, that's why it's my favourite card ever.

Really? Nowadays, in 2024...? I remember one of my sons was pretty crazy about Pokemon cards. That must have been around 2002. And I still have no idea about the monsters... ;-))
yeah its still really popular, actually there are a lot of people all over the world that collect the cards now and some of them sell for lots of money.
learning the different pokemon takes time but I love them so its easy for me i guess
My dsughter is 33 still collectd pokémon cards, we still play and by now she collects Mewtwo and Mews only - the cats their names were Mewtwo and Mew.
We never had stolen cards but stolen Flippos, fights at school, really bad.

Hold onto those cards!!! They are still going to be worth a lot one day.
As for the game... I reached level 50 1.5 years ago, and then I stopped playing. We moved, and doing raids locally is impossible as there are no groups here. Doing invitation raids is not the same thing.
