My travel day from New Zealand to Perth Australia went well today and 12 hours after leaving my local airport i am here!

My first flight was just on an Air NZ ATR 72 bound for Auckland which took about 70 minutes from start to finish, once i landed i headed for the International terminal to pass Customs & security.

Having a 3 hour wait meant that i could walk my arse off and get some steps before the 8 hour flight to Perth.

Yesterday at home with it pissing down until 4pm really put the brakes on my weekly step count, once it stopped raining i went for a couple of walks and got to 15k for the day.

That means i walked 134K in 7 days which is better than a kick in the teeth!

They are upgrading or extending the current international terminal which will be good, i still prefer Wellington as its smaller and has less dickheads in general.

Auckland to Perth

For this flight i was lucky enough to have a premium economy ticket, bigger seats and more choice of food - yay!

This was my seat on the bird which was very comfortable, having extra leg room and unlimited food & drink was great.

Had some presents waiting which included some nice head phones, blanket which may have been stolen by yours's truly 🙄😁

Plus the brought us around a hot flannel before we took off - nice.

Oh & socks toothbrush and something else, i haven't had a proper look in the package yet.

Here is the menu they give you and its a pretty good selection actually, the food was very nice.

But first the drinks trolley came around so i had one Bourbon n Coke to start my journey off on, it would be easy to get messed up but i still had to collect a rental car once i get to Perth.

I had the snapper for lunchy wunchy and it was super tasty, a few hours later they brought some sandwiches (salmon) plus some fruit and a coffee.

After breezing through Customs & security at Perth Airport i went and collected my rental car , got me a little Suzuki which goes well.

Quest Hotel

After the GPS led me to my Hotel i checked in and parked the beast, the room will be fine and has a kitchen i can cook if i so desire.

After unpacking my stuff i decided a little walk was in order (2K) just to stretch my arse..i mean legs.

That has been my Travel day to Perth Australia 🥝✈️✈️🦘
