Halloween & Dia De Los Muertos - A Night To Rave
In the spirit of Halloween and the Night of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos), last night I found myself at a place that was anything but your usual party night.
The stars of the evening were two names – one of them, Adam Beyer, one of the most recognizable figures in electronic music, who's toured the world thanks to his ability to keep fans wide awake.
The other, Slovenian DJ Brina Knauss, is rising fast, with a packed calendar months in advance.
Back to the main part. The event organizers asked fans to put some effort into their outfits and makeup to help bring out the spirit of the holidays I mentioned.
A big part of the crowd embraced the challenge, and the results spoke for themselves.
The organizers, on their part, went all out with the decor, and I dare say, they pulled it off more than well.
Here, I'm showing you part of the decor and the people, hoping you'll feel the atmosphere that filled every corner.
Just as important as the music for me was the fact that people came to have an absolute blast, which made for an incredibly positive vibe in the venue.
The night flew by unnoticed, and I’d say the dead were satisfied, while the evil spirits, seeing what was happening, didn’t dare come near us.
The night when everyone forgets they’ve grown up, time stops, and they dive childlike into a magical world where being normal is dull and tiresome, quirky ideas are warmly welcomed, and scary costumes are a sign of good cheer.
