Reflections on Light and Darkness - The Soul's Duality
At the border between night and day, the struggle is most fiercely contested. The light of the sun, with all its might, strives to overcome the night, and it always succeeds because the sun rises every day. But the question here relates to the souls of people and the eternal struggle within them. If the duel between day and night before sunrise is the most intense, then when does such a battle establish itself in a person's soul? The answer is: throughout one's entire life.
Peace is rarely found by the human soul, and when it is found, it never lasts for long. Eternal conflict pervades the thoughts and actions of individuals, torn between light and darkness, morality and immorality, what is good for oneself and what is good for others. The opposition is endless, but everyone has the right and the opportunity to choose how to think, feel, and act. Some might say that this thinking is wrong, and that fate is predestined, that feelings cannot be controlled. But that's not true. A person, if they so desire, can overturn the ideas of the whole world to do what they wish, what their soul and mind dictate. Human potential is limited only by time.
Sometimes, time appears too short to achieve the goal one has set for oneself. Every individual has the inherent right to choose whether to allow light or darkness to dominate their soul, mind, and body. If we allow one of the two to exert its influence, then we will follow the same ideals throughout our lives, having the same values and thoughts, because there is no development in only one direction. You accept it as it is, and you have no way to change it. But if you allow both principles to simultaneously influence you, then the interesting part is yet to come. The very struggle that will take place within you, constantly pulling you between the two extremes, will give you the incentive to live fully, embracing both the joy of light and the agony of darkness.
This perpetual opposition will constantly tip the scales from one side to the other. But don't think it will be difficult to decide which to choose. The circumstances, the occasion, the situation will give you the right answer, and after resolving dozens of dilemmas, you will quickly and easily learn to assess the situation in which you find yourself. The Light... a symbol of purity, innocence, hope, love, and warmth, lies within our hearts. Thanks to it, we love and forgive. Thanks to it, understanding and unity exist.
The Light is the goodness within us, all those good qualities that make us human, not just part of the crowd. We are all born as humans, shining with light, but why do we change so much during our journey through life and become true devils... We condemn others, but let us stand before the mirror at least once and ask ourselves, "What am I like?"
