"No preamble today" — none

Returning to Hikkaduwa, we wanted to stay in some interesting small hotel with an original design. I've put together a small selection. My companion pointed her finger at one of the options. Her choice fell on Villa Karla. Well, the die is cast, let's go!
Moving along the highway along the sea, we missed a turn. A narrow street led to the coast, into which I could hardly squeeze our car.
Two hundred meters along a narrow street and we are there. How to describe the location? The right word here is cozy and secluded. Small yard with swimming pool. Small private beach. Several rooms, three of them with ocean views.
Friendly staff greets us warmly. The guys grab our luggage. This is followed by a mandatory welcome drink.

We go for a walk along the coast. Unfortunately, the harmony is broken. We are seeing more and more trash on the shore. And here is the reason... the river throws out the waste of the local population. Wastewater treatment technologies and environmental protection propaganda have not yet reached here. It's sad that people don't understand what they're doing. Everything happens as in that myth in which a man sawed the branch he was sitting on.

We reached a cape consisting of a picturesque group of large stones. Apparently this is a great place for a photo shoot. That's right... we see a girl with two companions. The girl poses very diligently.
We wait for sunset, take a couple of photos and head back to Villa Karla. A wonderful dinner awaits us there.

At the bar we discuss the menu. The bartender offers to choose fresh seafood. He gives the command. A young guy speeds off on a scooter into the darkness. Five minutes later, one of the staff shows us a group of shrimp and lobster on a tray.

On the shore there is a table covered with a tablecloth. Candles are burning. The surf makes a gentle noise. The dark velvet blanket of heaven sparkles with stars. A magnificent evening at Villa Carla
