And now let's move on to today's issue.

The National Rock Garden, Canberra

I am pleased to submit my today's visit to The National Rock Garden, Canberra.

The National Rock Garden in Canberra is all about Australia's rich geological heritage in a parkland setting, with a permanent display.

The National Rock Garden in Canberra is a popular recreation area. It has an interesting geological history that can be inspected along numerous nature trails.

A New Beginning

As some of you know, due to my husband's job nature, we move quite often. Hence, my frequent rambling about packing and moving in the past.

Last few days went like a whirlwind. I have been setting up the place half-heartedly. But I'm tired of living like a nomad (feels so) for more than half a year.

When Something Fails it Doesn't Mean YOU are a Failure!

I write these words as someone who has experienced lots of failures in my life. As I enter the final third of my days on this planet, I have gradually come to embrace the idea that these were all experiences that helped shape the person I am, today.

Seasons of Growth

Going back to the quote above and with turning 30 in mind, it's made me think over about how far I've come and who I am as a person, and showing myself the respect I know I deserve. I had a friendship for about 17 years and I would tolerate being belittled, dictated to, and basically taken advantage of. Until last year, when I decided I wanted to take a step back because I wasn't comfortable with a situation.

Zanzibar

It is the largest of the islands located in the Zanzibar archipelago. It is part of the Zanzibar Autonomous Region, which includes both the islands of the Zanzibar Archipelago and other smaller islands adjacent to them. It is located in the Indian Ocean, about 30 km from the east coast of Tanzania. In 1964, Zanzibar (today's Zanzibar Autonomous Region) and Tanganyika, which until then were British colonies, were united into a common state, under the name of the United Republic of Tanganyika and Zanzibar.

«Hitler’s Teeth» – Cultural Heritage along part of Norway’s coast

It is not only along the coast of Denmark that we can see memories of WWII. Also along the Norwegian coast. At Jæren you will find remains of defense works that Hitler had set up. There are large blocks of stone standing in a row between the road and the sea. These rocks are called «Hitler’s Teeth». They were built by the Germans during WWII as part of The Atlantic Wall. This wall concists of a chain of forts along the coast of Europe.

Brunch, Bric a Brac & a Birthday at Dassiesfontein!

Last week was Dave's birthday and because we are both pretty busy most of the time, we did not really have a chance to plan anything specific, so opted for a mini road trip and a casual farm style brunch for just the two of us. I think as you get old(er) the desire to go "all out" somewhat dwindles, lol and an easy going meal with those we care to share our time with will generally suffice, lol.

With the motorhome through Poland (Świdnica)

Travelling to Silesia, also known as Świdnica, in Poland promises a fascinating experience full of historical insights, cultural discoveries and scenic beauty. A charming town close to Wroclaw, Świdnica offers visitors a rich history, impressive architecture and warm hospitality.

Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin on a bed of Roasted Deliciousness

That was precisely what happened and a stew like pork fillet recipe image popped up. It looked delicious, so in an instant, I was sold on doing something with pork tenderloin. Needless to say, I did not follow the recipe, nor did what I made end up looking or tasting anything like what had inspired me - but that is not really the point. It just gives me a direction to move in - that is all I need. I detest recipes anyway... they are way too much like rules, lol!

Prokopske valley

In today's post, we will visit the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague. Most of the tourists who come here will first of all visit the landmarks of the city, such as the Prague Castle, or the old town and the Astronomical Clock.

However, we decided on a somewhat unconventional trip for tourists in a big city. I think that locals come here more than tourists. Here, at least for a while, they can escape the hustle and bustle of the big city.
