Thracian Secrets And Roman Echoes Within Villa Armira’s Walls
I'm glad, though, that I gave in to the tourist rule that says: If it's a landmark, it must be visited. By the way, I read that the location of such wealthy ancient villas was no accident. There were some guidelines: the place had to be beautiful, close to a major road, but not directly on it, with a nearby water source, and the villa itself should be on a southern slope. The builders of the villa followed all of these recommendations.
Riding the waves of the Bosphorus on a ferry: Come along...
Istanbul, located on the Bosphorus Strait, spans both Europe and Asia, with its rich history as Byzantium and later Constantinople. Once the capital of the Byzantine Empire, it is now a thriving hub for culture, economics, finance, and commerce. The city is home to many Turkish and international companies. Strategically positioned between two continents, it is connected by three bridges, one of which I featured in today’s blog, reinforcing its significance as a key crossroads between Europe and Asia. The Bosphorus, a crucial waterway, remains a vital passage for global maritime traffic.
News about our fundraiser for Uganda!
Naturally, we paid a lot of school fees again in September.
We had decided at the beginning of the year to enable some children to complete their schooling.
The families were unable to pay the school fees.
These children will take their exams next month.
Of course, we are keeping our fingers crossed for all of them!

Burano - The Hidden Gem of Venice 🏰🛳️
Today I want to tell you about my visit to a very colorful and fabulous place. As an avid photographer, I was looking for new adventures and inspirations. As I researched the options, Burano caught my attention with its promise of colorful houses and authentic Italian culture. Located just 30 minutes by boat from bustling Venice, this small island in the lagoon proved to be a treasure trove of surprises.
Content Creation and Consumption
I shared how one day, my son needed help with his homework; he had already done a great job but wanted to improve it more. I was in a hurry; to get him off my back, I opened ChatGPT and entered his query. As soon as I hit enter, I immediately regretted my actions and got a bit worried about the consequences. My son, who was hovering over the screen, quickly noticed what Mama was up to and knowingly chanted with excitement - are you using ChatGTP?
Unsung Heroes of the Aughts
I enjoy writing about films that I loved despite disparaging reviews (opinions) by critics. I did extensive pieces on Unsung Heroes of The Eighties and Nineties, so I figured it’d only be prudent to continue the tradition with a celebration of Misfits of The Noughties (a.k.a. The Aughts).
I'm in again ☺️😉
