The ideas this client showed me were cool but, I felt it was important I do my own spin based off of her ideas.

I think I nailed it and asked my co-workers for advice. They said it looked like an Owl. The flow and composition work well and I do feel a little lost with some of the line work (there will be light and dark lines along with different line weights). I think the Client is going to love this piece and I figured I would show ya'll the drawing before I put it onto skin tomorrow. I will be posting the finished tattoo tomorrow ((you can follow @pattoounlimited)).
She wants Black and Grey and thats about what she can afford based on her budget. I however would love to do this in some rich vibrant colors. I will probably do another version of this style with some different birds and play around with the concept in some other ways.

FINISHED:

Heres the overall finished look of the design.

SKETCHED:

I use red pencil since its very easy to eliminate on the copier and doesnt smudge like pencil. Its lighter then the pen so its the best for sketching stuff out! Alot of tattoo artists do it this way.

LAYOUT LINES:

These thicker lines are whats going to help this tattoo stay over the years and are going to keep it from looking like a cluster fuck. Line weight is sooooo important with tatoos.
