Maltese Balconies

Traditional colourful Maltese enclosed balconies -gallariji.

Apparently their exact origin remains a mystery.

Based on everything I read, saw and heard they are part of the Arabic heritage on the island.

Based on my extensive travel experience similar enclosed balconies are often seen in towns and villages across Turkey.
