UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE OF ART. Beyond words.

In this post I wanted to share with you my thoughts on how art is a universal language that can reach any place on earth and be understood.
As many of you who I´ve been in touch with know that over the past two months I have had an exhibition going in my little local Art Café in Ibiza Can Tixedó.
Almost simultaneously I held the Wox Literary Contest and then also, released the 2022 Calendars.
These three events have shown me that art can be understood universally.
Over the years I have had this experience also, when my paintings have found homes in many countries over the globe, but since 2018 when I held my last exhibition, then the long travels in 2019, I hadn´t made any effort to interact with the rest of the world. In my case two things came at the same time, the significant deterioration of my mothers health and the Covid pandemic. Both factors have made me stay put in one place and giving me less time to dedicate to art. I have always over this time, found time to create, don´t get me wrong, but I just haven´t had the freedom to roam free in my explorations so I have had to adapt to smaller projects and more local.
Anyway, so, I have been reorganising my studio when I brought back the paintings that didn´t sell at my exhibition and it just dawned on me that many were gone. Over the two months of this exhibition I have sold 21 pieces, most of them small but nevertheless it´s still quite a significant amount of pieces I no longer have. I then also thought of the amount of time I went to the Post office to send off either Paintings, Postcards or Calendars and there is quite a variety. I wanted to create this post where I keep this record that might be useful for me to look back on.
This can also possibly help others creating in small places, like where I live, to be able to send art to other parts of the world. I know that for some countries like Venezuela this must be difficult. I learnt that when trying to send things there. I hope this can be worked out soon.

So Here is the list of small paintings I sold at the Exhibition in Can Tixedó, mostly to locals but some ended up in further away places:

"Interacción" 24x30cm . To a woman in Ibiza.

"Blues Rock Plants" 27x41cm, to a woman in Ibiza.

"Watertree" 30x40cm. to a man from Valencia, Spain.

"Yellow Flowers" 27x41cm to a woman in the Netherlands.

"Observing Snail" 46x60cm. to a british man who lives between Switzerland and Ibiza.

"Watertown" 40x50cm to a man from Ibiza.

"Flores"15x20cm to a woman of Barcelona, Spain.

"Dos Casas" 41x27cm to a family in Ibiza.

"El almendro que alcanzó el cielo"25x31cm to a woman of Barcelona, Spain.

"Feather tree" 23x30cm to a belgian woman living in Ibiza.

"Pitrera bajo los planetas" 15x20cm to a french woman in Ibiza.

"Sant Francesc de ses salines"14x27cm. to a woman in Italy.

"El algarrobo" 10x15cm to a family in Mallorca, Spain.

"Barquito" 10x15cm to a young girl in Ibiza.

"Earth" .... this one was a little bonus thing that happened. The lady from the Netherlands who saw my exhibition during her holiday and then contacted me to send her the Yellow Flowers looks through my web of available paintings and also had me send this one over.

Then the Prize of the Literary contest in Ibiza went to a woman in Menorca Island. Conchi Salas Pons.

These little paintings were the payment for the three jury members of the online WOX literary Contest:

This one was sent to Italy to Emina Cevro Vukovic

This one was sent to Tania Mollart in France.

This one went to Joanna Hruby in Ibiza

And this one one was part of the payment to the printers who did my Calendars. They very kindly offered to do part of the payment with a painting. It´s always lovely to be able to trade for things like this.

The Calendars have been sent to a number of places: Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga, Madrid, Mallorca in Spain and then to Italy, California, Canada, Germany, UK, Austria, France and Netherlands.

And in the case of the ones I sent to Germany I even got to see them beautifully displayed in a post on Steemit by @stef1
