Mine and Rose’s Eclipse
The Sun is a Girl Star 2024. Acrylic on cardboard, 16 x 16"
A couple days ago, there was a total eclipse of the sun in my neighborhood. I took this picture in my head a few hours before the event, and my wife Rose took her photo when the two space balls were still peeking through the clouds. I had no idea the sky would go midnight dark at 3 p.m. Quite the surprise! Totality lasted only a little over 3 minutes, but whoa, I can see how this would have made our ancestors freak out before there was a predictable explanation!
