Oh we will. And enjoy the birthday! I’m sure restrictions will relax.
And yes, the gin and tonic helps send all minor annoyances back to “why did I ever care?” My medicine comes from sipping my father’s 100 proof bourbon. He’s an amateur distiller who makes an excellent anti-worry juice:)

I am sold! Your father's bourbon sounds like a must try to me and now it is the right time of the year. People around here make cider and beer but this is the first time ever I hear about homemade bourbon. Your father is lucky to have you to keep tasting it or actually the other way around.

But then again, the nasty virus. I was supposed to receive my annual allotment at Christmas, but we had to cancel our get together for COVID reasons. I’m down to last year’s last dram:(

Oh dear. I feel for you. This reminds me of 2020. This Christmas though there were less restrictions here in England. We still didn't gather together as we would have normally, 15 people in total. The only thing which changed because of the virus and I certainly don't mind is the working from home really. It has been twenty-one months now since I started working from home and I love every second of it. I gain time every day by not having to go physically to the office. I work till later on my photography projects as then I have enough time to catch up on sleep too. I eat better quality food at lunch which costs me less. I can have the light and the temperature according to my own preference and I listen to my kind of music. Unfortunately I am due to return back to the office gradually when restrictions ease sometime in the future.

I’ve been working from home for 20 years. And it took me exactly that long to almost find peace of mind.
Ten more years to go:)
