Americans visit McDonalds at least once a week. Just crazy. No time on their hands for slow cooking, or even reading about the benefits of healthy eating. True healthy eating, not the supermarket aisle Good Housekeeping crap fed to harried shoppers. U.S. citizens are the guinea pigs for industrial greed and unscrupulousness. There are safeguards in many other rich nations. I suspect the other countries people, via their governments, inform McDonalds on what it can dump on them to eat. It would offer breadless sprout sandwiches if told to, as long as it fed the bottom line. Americans don’t have a choice about McDonalds because we are not free. We are not a healthy, informed mass of people to put any real pressure on some yokel politician, let alone a trillion dollar multi-national. We are in the final stages of complete disenfranchisement, which makes us look and feel quite stupid to ourselves and the rest of the world.
