Transformation Of Lives Through Charity
One language that the whole world, irrespective of race, background, ethnicity, religion, tribe, etc understand is love, which is also interpreted to mean charity. In the world where you can be anything, and at this point in time, you can choose to be kind and tilt towards charity. It is saddening that in this era, a lot of people are only concerned about their individual goals and what they want to acquire, while leaving the principal duty of humanity. The so much cruelty that is witnessed in this era is getting to an alarming stage, and the only hope lies in love being restored in the hearts of humankind. Of course, it takes love to do the works of charity.
When the concept of charity is raised, people are quick to relate it to monetary gifts and all, but it goes way beyond that. First of all, your heart is what matters in all these. Trust me, if your heart is not fully represented, then whatever you are doing may not produce the full result. This is why your heart should be present in the presents you give to people. More so, apart from the material gifts and donations, you should also have sympathy, empathy; be touched by the feelings that others are passing through. You cannot claim to show charity or to have love for someone without showing empathy and compassion for them.
There is a kind of feeling of fulfillment and joy that comes into the heart when you know that you have affected people's lives with your acts of love. Of course, the easiest way to transform people is to show compassion to them. Causing people to be happy and to smile will also create your own smile for you. One of the things I believe is that the good you do for someone or what you cause to happen for someone will definitely find a way back to you, even if it is not in the same way. There is no act of charity that ever goes into wastage - it will surely create a positive effect. A drop of kindness that you give to someone can be all that will revive and strengthen their hopes.
Charity can be a very potent tool for positive change if employed correctly. There are some people that the only way to change them for the good is to show them kindness. For someone that has not eaten for example, there is no amount of encouragement you give to them that will substitute the need to eat. But with just a little act of kindness of giving the person food, you can make a great deal of impact to them. Trust me, it does not take too much to positively affect someone's life positively. Just a little kindness done at the right time might be all that it will take to make a very huge and unforgettable impact.
You may not be able to show kindness and charity to the entirety of the world at large, but from where you are, you can start your charity there. You are not doing it for someone to commend or see that you are kind but because you have passion and compassion for people. Sometimes, the person that you do the good to might not be able to repay you even if they want to, but it should not stop you from being good and kind. The truth is that you are not doing it for the immediate returns from the same person, otherwise it will not profit you anything, you are doing it for the sake of humanity.
When you do good to one person, you are indirectly building a strong community of good-doers. You will agree with me that those that grew up where they are exposed to the benefits of doing good early in life tend to grow to become better humans. When you do good and undertake charity works, you are also setting a precedence for others to follow and by that, you are creating a better community. Apart from building a stronger community, they will also be more united. Always have in mind that nothing unites and binds people more than love, which is also the bedrock of charity.
