Where Sand Meets Sky
At one side of land and water blend, An expansive space to start to paint.
Desert is seen where waves flow.
Promising wider horizons, The sun and the shadows so long, Busy thus and thus,
A golden land which sand had churned.
The wind is gentle and has some things to tell me.
Stories that have been around us, where the tides are high.
There lies mirage and a haze in the distance.
Where warm-cockle hearts long for water hearse.
Looking up there is pure blue, a vast and endless sea.
Such as clouds, as cotton candy floats through.
One did fly away, a pinprick against the sun,
An individual traveler in an eternal journey.
It is in these enormous regions, where the noise is scarce.
Swept away by beauty and the blessings of stillness found in really appreciating this world.
Its very beating—The desert’s heart is a slow steady pulse.
Where secrets lie and mysteries lie low.
