04/100 Gimena And The Tamales

Hello creative community,

I thought that I would be running out of ideas and I am just on my 4th drawing of the 100 Days Of Drawing Challenge. Inspiration can come just when I needed it most. I had tamales for breakfast and here I am drawing about it.

So thanks to the yummy breakfast now I have an entry who is Gimena the pig cooking a batch of tamales. She is feeling creative and resourceful so she scooped a big measure of powdered corn which I think is called masa please correct me I am not so sure. Then she worked hard to wrap all the tamales in corn husks and is now waiting for them to cook. Looking proud of her accomplishments.

As always I start with scribbles until I see something promising

Notice the changes like the direction of the eyes and the right ear when I finalised the line drawing? You keep editing until you are fine with it

Now that the lines are alright time to add base colors and shadows
