RE: Don’t Yuck Anyone’s Yum

"In a world where you can be anything, be kind.", I read this somewhere, and it's a very relevant and necessary call.
I am an example of a person who has been asked the question all his life: why does this interest you? Whether it is in terms of books, films, music, history and so on. It is not easy to live like this.😂 I have somehow become hardened steel, not being able to discuss or share with anyone the things that interest me or have once interested me.
But today we have all become very sensitive. I've noticed this too. And literally one word or one look can turn the cart around. This is all a consequence of the wonderful way of life on this wonderful planet.
I think we've discussed this before too - that we should always communicate with people with the clear feeling that they too are not having it easy and that they too have their own problems that they are trying to deal with in one way or another...

That’s so true. Kindness shouldn’t be such a rare trait, yet it feels like we’re all walking on eggshells these days. Even honest, well-meaning communication can easily be misread, and before you know it, there’s a misunderstanding or a rift.

It’s sad because conversations that should bring connection now often lead to defensiveness. Maybe that’s why so many people prefer silence over expression; it feels safer. Still, I think it’s worth trying to communicate with empathy, even if it’s hard. Like you said, everyone’s fighting their own battles.
