I have these strange memories from my childhood, how one of my grandmothers, with whom I grew up, used to make those other, very greasy mekitsi. My other grandmother, with whom we were not particularly close, traditionally made these mekitsi that you are showing. I love both types very much, but maybe because these were so rarely eaten, they have remained my favorites. 😅 They are very tasty! And I love them pure, without any additives, marmalade or anything else - just dough 😁
