1/ I'm waiting for @the-gorilla to return the ability for admins to set characteristics for community users. He probably accidentally removed this useful feature.

This is fixed on https://steemitdev.com.

I'll write a post to announce it tomorrow so that others can test it. You can have a sneak peak now so please let me know if it's now working correctly for you.
