My California - Snow Summit

As the weather starts warming up here in SoCal the snow in the mountains is disappearing. But I still wanted to get in one last day of snowboarding this season. So I headed up into the San Bernardino mountains to Big Bear. Both Snow Valley and Bear Mountain were already closed for the season, but luckily Snow Summit was still open! I got up there early and was able to hit the slopes as soon as the lifts opened.

I don't know about you, but after a few days of sun, we're back to gray, rainy weather here in Belgium. It almost makes one spontaneously dream... dreaming of vacation, sun, relaxation... But all I can do at the moment is look at old vacation snapshots. Like this one from a very enjoyable holiday in Normandy, France. Although I must honestly admit that my Amilcar wasn't there at the time 😉

The photo above shows you the profile of its head, which reminds me a bit of ET. Having completed all that I realised that the arms were going to be ‘fixed’ like that, ie without any movement. It was too late to change that step which actually follows the instructions in the knitting kit. It was too late because after sewing the arms I decided to join the neck to the head using the same yarn so if I cut it off to redo the arms I would have to sew the whole thing again; it’s taken me a long time to get here as it is. I decided to look into ways of attaching toy legs so there's movement. The kit is quite simplistic and it does not offer any options.

With the popularity in a lot of social media, it is very important that steemit gains this popularity so that more people get to use this wonderful platform. Having participated in promoting steemit a day ago with my video on YouTube, I am very excited that people are viewing and watching it. Joining steemit for me was through @imohmitch and I would say it is the best thing that happened to me in 2022. There are a lot of people who would also want to enjoy the benefits of steemit.

For some time now (since the day I arrived in this household, to be precise), I have been tirelessly providing my services. I have brewed cup after cup of the most delicious coffee, at the touch of a button, without hesitation. But now the point has been reached where I can no longer remain uncomplainingly silent.
