I can imagine that was the same feeling we had before, we tried many different things and in summer even moved the plants outside but then snails have eaten some of the juicy leaves of our plants. In winter it was OK to water them once but then we were leaving only for 2 weeks so the plants survived.

This system we tried in summer, that time we had young red pepper plants and they usually like a lot of water so we had a big water reservoir and it worked. This time the plants do not require much water but the system worked very well. So definitely you also can try :)
