I am so glad I could come back with an amazing post on the @worldofxpilar community page. May you always be in good health and protected by God Almighty.
How was your weekend? I hope everyone is doing great!? And I hope you had a productive and fruitful weekend? I'm here again with another photorealism realistic charcoal portrait. I want to present to you a realistic portrait drawing of my cousin Akanimo Samuel Inyang which was commissioned by himself

I will say this is one of the work that brought me to limelight, for so many of my family members didn't know I was an artist until I did this portrait.
Though it was a rushed project but I did well, for all my artworks are representing me.

Here are the steps on how I did the portrait.
I drew my grid lines and made my sketch then started shading it gradually as usual. having a grid for sketch has been so good to artist because it gives you 100,% of accuracy when it come to the need for exact proportion. Starting with one side of the face which was the eyes, eyebrows and other features of the face. Then gradually move from left to right. this is how many artist draw to prevent smudging. Now to achieve that realistic skin texture and skin pores I had to sharpen my charcoal pencil for detailing and use my tombo mono zero eraser to erase lights, highlights, pinpoints, making it real and accurate.

Amazing portrait my friend, you have once again showed skill in your artwork. I'm not really good at using grid line i guess i need to do some more practice. Thank you so much for sharing i really enjoyed going through your blog

Thanks man. I appreciate your effort for going through my blog and the artwork. Grid is the best method for getting right proportion during sketch.

I guess i would put in more work to perfect it. You are always welcome
