Ìyálóde - (Mixed Media Art).
Good Day Fellas,
Ìyálóde is a title usually given to the most noble of the women amongst the yoruba people. People which such title are often known to be heavily dressed lots of times which means they often appear ceremonial.
Due to one of my courses in school I've been open to a lot of experimentation in art lately and that has really helped my thought process as an artist.
I have tried out a lot of unconventional materials on canvas and as it stands, I think using zips like I used in this very piece really works for me and I might just stick to that for now.
Using zips as an art material still gives me that freedom to play with colours just the way I love to while using pigments and that a lot is enough for me to want to hold on to the approach for a long time.
