Therapeutic Cooking or...

This is not a food post. I just want to share the power of therapeutic cooking. I had some guests, and I was very tired from the Eid shenanigans. But all I could think about in-between writing here on the platform was cooking and baking. It was my gateway to escape - escape from my stupid thoughts, worries, and negativity. By night, I was drained and exhausted, but I had a very peaceful night. I had put all my energy into food. I wanted to be tired so that when I lay in bed, I wouldn't have to think about anything else and could just be lulled to sleep.

Days have passed since the celebration of Eid Fitri. It means the time for me to return from this vacation is getting closer, back to reality and the pending workload. I spend the remaining days with my family, trying to create quality time with my son and wife before I return to Makassar. In the morning, in our small family room, I chat with my very "active" son. His activity sometimes leaves us shaking our heads.

So far so good I only make one digital piece in a week and i don't share them here. Oftentinmes when I eventually do, they are not steemexclusive. I have been thinking for some time now and I have decided to remedy this.

Very often knitting magazines include a 'gift' which can be needles, stitch markers, or a small knitting kit. Also very often people who buy magazines do not want the small knitting kits and give them away to charity shops where they're sold very cheaply. That's how I got this kit I think over 4 years ago but never felt confident enough to tackle it.
