The Screen Addict Recommends โ Collide (2016)
๐๐ผ๐น๐น๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ (a.k.a. ๐๐๐๐ผ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ต๐ป) is one of those films that slipped through the cracks of my awareness soon after it came out. Not because I didnโt want to see it โ quite the contrary โ but Eran Creevyโs actioner just got lost among the many other shows on my ever-expanding watchlist.
The film popped back into my head when I stumbled across an old interview Larry King did with Sir Ben Kingsley. The venerable Brit is always a pleasure to listen to โ Kingsley was once quizzed by Empire magazine about the many characters he played and famously remembered every single one of โem โ but the one-on-one with King was particularly memorable.
When asked what his favorite on-screen collaboration had been, Kingsley quickly answered: โTony Hopkinsโ. The film in question was ๐๐ผ๐น๐น๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ, and although both Brits were probably mostly in it for the paycheck โ and good for them โ itโs still hugely rewarding to see Kingsley and Hopkins share some scenes.
Seek it out & get your fix.
